Ever since I was a kid, in our school, they have taught us about the environment and how to take care if it. They showed us about pollution from factories, cars, houses and even small things like a burger from a restaurant and its negative impacts. They taught us about the Three Rs: Reuse, Reduce, Recycle, and how plastic has very bad for the environment. Videos about the oil spills in the ocean and how animals like dolfins and seagles were being negativly afected and even killed because of pollution.
My real passion for environment and specially solar panels, started when I was 8 and I moved to Spain. On almost every house I passed by when going to school I saw this square, rectangularish flat shaped thing with a cylindrical object compartment. I didn't think much of them at the beginning, I just thought it was something Spanish people used to decorate their houses, like a custom of theirs. It wasn't until we went to the beach that my heart was filled with joy, excitement and uncertainty.
As we drove through the highway I looked out the window, there was a glow that caught my peripheral vision. I found myself looking at the sun...but it wasn't...or was it? I was confused. There was this sun, floating about 20 meters above the ground. It was smaller, less brighter, and surrounded by more of these square, rectangularish flat shaped thing
I never saw solar panels before so I was very interested on them and became very curiuos about them. I knew very little about them, only that they took the solar light and convert it to electricity.
